I am Anna-Marie Hawthorne, maker of books, lover of family, connoisseur of most things homeschool. A little bit shy and a whole lot loyal, my heart is big and my intentions good. My artist statement should go here, so please imagine one that is clever and perfect. That’ll do for now.

We are a home educating family with four children. We spend our days learning about God through different subjects and activities. Our Biblical Principle Approach to life and learning affects our way of moving in the world. We treasure God’s creation and we love to pray and find ways to help those in need around us.

My life is crazy busy, with a husband and four kids that we homeschool. Days here are filled with laughter and hard work and the distinct smell of glue. I try to teach my kids all about bookmaking so they can hopefully catch my passion and continue on long after I’m gone. So our home is filled with my husband’s music and my bookmaking supplies. It’s a wonderful combination.

As a Christian I want to share a little about my worldview in my work. I believe in the hope and love that only God can bring and trust that He will help me get that across to those who come across my work.  I hope that your life is somehow a little better after interacting with one of my books.

What matters to me? Family, faith, friends…and Diet Coke with vanilla and lots of ice. My dream life:

• plenty of time to do everything I need/want to do
• healthy family that serves the Lord together
• beautiful studio for bookmaking, with all the equipment I need
• regular vacations to get away from everyday life and refresh ourselves together
• husband doing his dream–music ministry full time
