I am Anna-Marie Hawthorne, maker of books, lover of family, connoisseur of most things homeschool. A little bit shy and a whole lot loyal, my heart is big and my intentions good. My mission statement should go here, so please imagine one that is clever and perfect. That’ll do for now.
We are a home educating family [on sabbatical] with four children. We spend our days learning about God through different subjects and activities. Our Biblical Principle Approach to life and learning affects our way of moving in the world. We treasure God’s creation and we love to pray and find ways to help those in need around us.
I started this little blog in January 2005 as an way to share my growth and excitement about home education and the Biblical Principle Approach. It has been a joy to connect with moms from all over through the last six years. My heart is still very much in the center of home education and I pray God will open the doors for me to educate my children at
home once again. (So please forgive me if this blog may seem a bit odd to you, me writing things about homeschooling with my own children in private school.) Thanks for your understanding as I walk stumble along this path in this season.
I like to write about God in the everyday. It’s something I’m working struggling to discover. Seeing the holy in the mundane is a challenging exercise but it’s one I’m determined to make a part of
my daily life.
What matters to me? Family, faith, friends…and Diet Coke with vanilla and extra ice.
