Okay one of my big life-long dream projects are done. My first zine. Is it crazy to really really really want to make a zine but think you can’t ever find time to do it?
It’s called Divine Discontent, as you can see. It’s 16 pages with covers and it’s a crazy mash up of my own poetry, some song lyrics, collage goodness and other poetry exploring life’s journey. It’s quarto size and bound with a simple pamphlet stitch.
The pages are photocopied and embellished a bit. I did it for Gleaner Zine swap. Being my first one, I’m not sure how it’s going to go over.
I made a few extras. I have five left. If you are interested in one then send me an email at annahawthornebookarts at gmail dot com and I’ll give you my PayPal address. They are $5, which includes shipping and some cool extra goodies.
Here’s my video tour of my little zine and how I made it. (I cut about 10 inches off my hair since my last video!)
