The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about wisdom is the verse in James 3:17:

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.

Thank you for the opportunity to win this book! And for all your encouragement on this homeschool/wife/mom journey. So glad to be on it with you! You are a God-send to me.

Thank you for reviewing this ebook. I am new to homeschooling and new to the principle approach, so reviews really help me to sort through all that's out there. It sounds like this book really helps to make wisdom practical. I think that may be the biggest struggle for me in getting started with this approach. I appreciate all that you and many others have done in your reviews and helpful blogs. I know I will be referring to these sites over and over again. Thanks!

I've enjoyed reading your helpful comments through the yahoo group, so thank you very much. I am a newbie PA-er, but so enjoying it thus far.

I love seeking the Lord's wisdom!

Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
Heb 4:9

Blessings,
Keri Mae

Hey!!!

This is exciting. Thanks for that peek into your Open House...let's me know I'm not the only one..LOL!!!! Anyway, I love Lisa's stuff. She breaks BPA down into manageable bites and shows the practical outworking of BPA. The message that really resonates with me re: BPA is that IT IS AS THE HOLY SPIRIT LEADS YOUR FAMILY. I was sooooooooooooo caught up in "we should do it this way, or this lesson plan says to do it that way" with BPA. I was so worn out I threw the books away and just sought God and loved my children and just became mommy. That season of relationship building provides a part of the foundation for our learning(I believe). Anyway, I've been able to post some of what I"ve been learning on my blog...don't want to rehash it all here. Thanks for the contest!

In response to an exhortation from our last pastor, we encourage our children to read through the entire Bible regularly, to just saturate themselves in it in order to "have the mind of Christ." Most of them take a year but one daughter finishes in 6 months and then memorizes a short book. Even though they are not stopping to "study" along the way and even if they don't understand everything they're reading (who does with the Bible?) I am amazed at them. Give them a verse without a reference and they can pin down pretty closely which book and some even to chapter and verse because they are familiar with the individuality of each writer and their message. By reading the whole counsel of God they are not easy prey for preachers who build whole philosophies on one verse of Scripture. It is the Word of God, quick and powerful; soak yourself in the water of the Word every day.
