We are a short week away from welcoming our newest little Hawthorne. We are busy bees around here, cleaning and cooking and generally getting prepared for his arrival. I am very tired, but also looking forward to finally meeting face to face. There is a LOT to do before he gets here, so I have enlisted my brood to help gets the house in order so when we get home things will be clean and oh so neat—well, as neat as 5 people can keep it.

This is the bedding that we chose for him. His big brother loves all things with wheels, and since they will share a room we thought this was a good choice. The green in the quilt just matches their wall color perfectly. I love when things like that work out.

It has been such a long pregnancy with many adventures and I am looking forward to meeting our little one and kissing him and holding him in my arms. There’s nothing like snuggling up with a newborn…

If you think of us, please say a prayer that things will go smoothly and we will have a beautiful and otherwise uneventful birth. I can’t wait to share his name and stats with you all, which I will do when I feel up to it. I will also let you know when our regular Thursday chats are back on again.
