I am planning my lessons for next week. This takes quite a bit of time, even for my young ones. But it is a total labor of love. Here’s what we have been up to. We are working on applying what we read to our lives and thinking about everything. This means a lot of work for her because nothing is just fill in the blank. We talk everything through and then, much to her chagrin, we write it all down. Even for math, we discuss the Biblical principles behind counting and multiplication. She’s doing so well. It’s back to school time!
We educate year-round and took the month of June to regroup. Now we are back in the groove and having a great time starting second grade (and pre-K). We have been spending the week writing definitions and laying the foundation for our studies. This year we are creating definition books for each subject. Preparing for the new year
We begin our new year next week. Since we school year-round, we take June off and then get back into things when the summer is really heating up.
